Introduction to Our Facilities

The stables are purpose built internal 12x12 units from the Steed range by IAE.

Adjacent to the Stables are grass paddocks which are available for grazing  throughout the year, weather permitting.

A new secure tack room has been equipped in an adjacent building and includes all the usual facilities for the storage of saddles, tack and feed. The tack room also has tea/ coffee making facilities, with a separate toilet and washroom.

A rug drying room is available with racks and heaters.

All Year Turn Out

All year turnout is available in secure paddocks. Horses are turned out in small groups to reduce the chance of injury, or can have individual turnout if required. Careful management and light soil provide optimum grazing with very little mud!

Fields are regularly muck cleared and harrowing, rolling, topping, fertilising and spraying are carried out when needed. A comprehensive worming programme is in use under vet guidance and worm counts are taken annually to ensure its efficacy.

Welcome to Woodend Livery Stables

Woodend Livery Stables is situated in the Yorkshire Dales village of Redmire. The stables offer the perfect opportunity to enjoy the stunning scenery of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.  Our idyllic rural setting allows riders to enjoy peace and tranquility without passing traffic. There is superb hacking on miles of bridleways, farm tracks and quiet country lanes which is ideal for a leisurely weekend hack, bringing on young horses or for getting competition horses fit. We are a small, well-organised yard with a friendly, social atmosphere.
